Secondly, we have no idea if the kids in the background were students or not. They could have been at a house party and not one organized by other students. We just don't know as far as I can tell. Why would you be for these kids getting away with breaking the rules they knew very well?

You speak of jurisdiction like this is a law. It's not, it's a rule imposed on willing students that broke them. No law was broken
