So let me get this straight, the only democrats in the south were the wealthy? I infer that because the poor never would have been able to afford to leave. So to fill out my question a little more, these wealthy democrats up and sold their plantations to Republicans ( plantations that currently have the same family that has owned it for 100's of years) en mass and moved to New York? Wouldn't that mean the Republicans would have had to do the same? This also would have happened pretty quickly too. Over the course of a decade at most. Is this really what you think happened? What about those poor people though. Did they all just decide to go full right wing when they moved? How about the poor in New york

  52. @Susan Wojcicki Is Asshoe lack of self awareness to my prejudices? First off I don't think I lack that awareness. Secondly, I am sure 99% of people conform to that as that's the basis for bias. Once again though the dunning Kruger effect wouldn't apply to democrats. They usually have facts on their side. Republicans on the other hand have a large portion of their base that believe anything some Q guy will tell them even though he has never once been right. Maybe do some more reading on the dunning Kruger effect
