Hostis Humani Generis well seeing as the last warming trend took a hundred thousand years to change this fast I would say there is no debate on how much we contribute to it.

I Eat Pangolins I have a mastiff. He chewed through both layers of drywall to get out of a room!!!!
5
@teejvilteejviltherottenfre4269 gfy just saying
3
Not my first pick for VP but I was OK with anyone over trump/pence
2
@julie2673 its a troll account. Don't bother
2
You're joking right? You don't think the climate is warming?
2
@robertallred4515 it has risen half a degree in the last 20 years. More than half of that in the last decade. Don't believe me, go to NASA's website and see for yourself. They will also tell you how they came to that conclusion.
2
@brainwashingdetergent4128 no it does not. That's not true at all.
2
Jka Ville dude stop. You're not helping at all. You're pushing the divide and, in my opinion, that's un-American.
2
Don Smith how are they anti-American. Please name things you can prove.
1
@msharp6887 no, it's not. We have vastly improved over the last administration.
1
@bobdole7697 please provide proof of that cheating to your local DA office then. Why wouldn't you if democrats stole the election?
1
@mikeevans8374 1 Trump had absolutely no experience in government or how to run a successful company other than selling the "trump" name because it was synonymous to opulence. 2 Trump had multiple women that accused him of sexual assault and when you hear "grab em by the pu$$y, it's hard to ignore. 3 Trump wouldn't and never did release his tax returns. We had no idea if he was financially compromised. 4 trumps blatant disregard for candor and couth when dealing with others 5 probably the biggest one. Not only the Mueller report but also the senate Intel committee confirmed trump knew the russians were helping him in his bid to win. That and his campaign manager, Paul manafort, was caught helping troll farms with connections to the Kremlin, by giving them Confidential voter information to help them narrow their efforts.
1
@msharp6887 well Biden has re entered the Paris accord, helped Americans with financial aid, is trying to help all Americans with his infrastructure bill, and has eneded the war in Afghanistan
1
@411adaptivegolf why the hell would someone have a presidential election sign on their lawn now?
1
@aqueousveritas9024 that's a lie
1
@msharp6887 cli.ate change is not debatable. Look to NASA for proof. The stimulus put $1400 in your pocket. Trump put 8 trillion on the credit card and we didn't get squat. The infrastructure bill helps all Americans. Guess you want to ditch the greatest generation to half assed private nursing homes. Trump wanted out of Iraq not Afghanistan.
1
@msharp6887 what is debatable with the Paris accord? This is how nations negotiate when corroborating. Second, I am sorry I made an assumption. Most of the bill is infrastructure not sure what your definition is. Any way you cut it Trump never ended the wars.
1
@bobdole7697 they all stopped and went home.
1
@rickroberson8788 administration *
1
@bobdole7697 buddy you believe fake news
1
@marilynemanuelson6674 did he?
1
I don't know what you're talking about. Give me an example
1
@4truth123... dude, the north eastern states along with California built this country LONG BEFORE the flyovers were even settled.
1
@tommas2674 lack of class and couth? This coming from the party of "grab em by the pu$$y"?
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 with the climate?
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 so what you need to do is spend time and read the science. If you did that, with a little side research to make sure you understand, you would have a far better grasp of it. Don't get caught up in the politics of it. Do the reading
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 that is not a fact and, like I said, if you go to the NASA website you could learn alot
1
@guitarsrcool4922 ya great for them. Not so.great for us
1
@guitarsrcool4922 your post.sounds good.but it's not based in real science. Hundreds of thousands of years ago low lying areas that we have cities on were under water. The arctic was a temperate rain forest and the level of co2 in the air would have made it harder to breath. That was when the earth had a semblance of balance. Right now we are in the middle of another historic dying off of the land and marine animal.we have. Over 50% of the bird population and 75% of the large vertebrae animals have gone extinct. Think about that
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 umm yes it is. They are able to take the pockets of air in the ice core sample and determine the concentration of different gasses that were in the air at that time. Along with analyzing the ice for contaminants from large naturally occurring event. Think volcanoes or asteroid impact. It's actually pretty fascinating what they are able to do.
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 nasa scientists have never rejected climate change science. Perhaps some of the faux science that claims co2 in the air is not the problem. Just look at our annual devastation across America. Hurricanes are far more frequent and severe. Forest fires are ravaging our timber. Massive flooding and droughts in the south. Farmers having to change crops or not plant at all due to the Colorado River shrinking. Take a look at Lake mede and see how low it is.
1
Hostis Humani Generis well al gore was initially going with the science they had 30 years ago. Since then we have launched satellites that track the global air and water temperatures among other things. We have a far better understanding of how this will unfold these days. I by no means am saying they know it all but the clear cause of it all hasn't changed. Only the ability to predict when and what will happen has gotten better
1
@kenduke5164 you have a good point. It will help contribute to the increasing speed of change. I don't know what to tell you other than these people who come here have no where else to go and are coming if we like it or not.
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 siing as you said nasa has baseless claims about climate change I am left with assuming you had no idea that ice core samples were science. That and your post is vague in its meaning.
1
@brainwashingdetergent4128 if you think ice coring is science then why do you refute the findings?
1
@micd9256 please cite the government source that said Hurricanes intensity has no relation to climate change. I doubt you can because as the temperature of the oceans warm the Hurricanes get bigger and more common.
1
@micd9256 you are correct. The models have been wrong. We are seeing events happen that initial models said wouldn't for a while (no summer ice in the arctic and major calving of the antarctic glaciers.
1
@micd9256 but that's where you're wrong. They are able to infer their knowledge using ice core and sediment core samples from lakes and oceans. They can also look to geologic outcrops to go back even farther. Aside from that we have hundreds of years of data to go by to see trends in the weather. I would be lying if I said they have it all down pat but even though the data is evolving all it has done is reinforce the theory.
1
@micd9256 I was about to thank you for the spirited and civil debate. Glad I didn't waste my time. I am dumbfounded why you would think we only have 50 years of data from the arctic. People have been in the arctic for centuries ffs. Weather mo itori g has been going.g on for centuries too. Then you have the gall to make ignora t assumptions a out my education when in fact I did well in all of those subjects. You say to have all these expert sources but have yet to na.e a single one. My source is NASA.
1
@micd9256 I am not a scientist. I work in finance. If the best minds of the world have concluded this who am I to say it's wrong. It doesn't take much to see the concensus here. That's why I asked for specific sources. Who are you reading that is showing an alternative theory. How do you expect me to be able to discern for myself if they know what they're talking about?
1
@micd9256 it doesn't take a climatology degree to see places that once had ice don't now.
1
@micd9256 I'm not conducting the studies. All I have is observation. Like I said, I am not the scientists that are working on it and I can only assume neither are you.
1
@micd9256 if you're going to continue to insult me I will end the conversation. Just saying. Once again I am not a scientist. I did engineering in university and eneded up in finance for the second half of my career. My observation is nothing more than reading the science and seeing if the conclusions they came to make sense. I also pointed to anecdotal evidence with people living in the arctic for thousands of years and the changes that have taken place. Have you ever visited a glacier. Have you ever seen the pictures of them 100 years ago? You have to be obtuse to deny this at this point. That or willingly denying the science for one reason or another.
1
@micd9256 I agree. I am not open minded enough to think thousands of scientists, all of the space agencies in the world and reams of evidence is some big conspiracy. So there ya go. You're right. I am not open minded in your definition
1
@micd9256 I agree GFY.
1
Always*
1
Greg was wrong. There is a massive amount of data pointing towards global warming and the root cause of it
1
Mild Puerto Rican you're right but the Republicans have the same issue. Name two.things you disagreed with trump on? This should be easy
1
@mycitysucks8096 not in the context of my reply to that poster
1
@nateschendel4585 first, name the animals that contribute more than we do. Second, you need to take a geology class. It would take me 5 paragraphs to explain why you're wrong. So I won't bother. You won't believe me anyways.
1
@nateschendel4585 I couldn't agree more with your second post. My wife and I do what we can within budget.
1
@nateschendel4585 I re read your first post. Although I don't agree with the first paragraph I do agree with the second. If we did that then we would be able to beat climate change.
1
William Farrar I won't stoop to that level.
1
William Farrar don't bother replying to me anymore unless you want to debate facts or policy. I have no time for petty name calling.
1
@Hangnailer47 you couldn't be more correct. Along with the war on drugs, it's an ongoing issue.
