  1. The car could have easily took his foot off the gas and slowed down. Where else is he supposed to cross? You do know the roads are public spaces and they belong to everyone, not just cars?

Then the big car and oil companies pushed the narrative that only cars belong there. Someday you, your parents will be too old to drive. Good luck getting around.
