  1. Jimmy. What the Catholics DIDN'T teach you is that you forgive people for YOUR sanity, not because they requested or begged to be forgiven. That's how Hollywood wants you to believe forgiveness works. Your forgiving someone doesn't have to be on the courthouse steps. Like health care, it's very personal and YOUR duty to yourself, not the other person. The other person might not even know or care that they fucked you up. Them knowing you forgave them is irrelevant.
