Jimmy. There's a law on the books in Evanston saying it's illegal to be homeless within the city limits. You can literally go to Evanston and have a court date and a #1 from McDonalds.if you break the law or don't have ID, you stay the weekend if you get busted on Friday after 4PM

@Nickademas1 don't know. I lived in Evanston back in the 90s. It was a thing for the homeless to do some petty shit to get approached by police and booked for no ID or address. I wasn't homeless myself, but would stop and talk to them. They're frigging people. They know how to talk and smile. Some of them have accepted homelessness and have made adaptations. The part where a homeless person is perfectly happy but needs only to keep warm isn't factored into anyone's model, and it's a thing if you're around any of them. They mostly want to stay as far away from the gubmit and especially the people advocating for them. Not all, but a big portion of them.
