  2. Paraphrasing, but "the government says what's good for the people" isn't a good message to send to the voters. We live in a representative constitutional republic. The PEOPLE pay the government. The liberals obviously have it ass backwards, and "progressives" are inching that way. The taxpayers (people) pay government to regulate over every aspect of life? That's almost conservative, but us conservatives say, "let's tell the government what we want, then if they vote contrary, get them out." The person that votes against themselves is an idiot. JS
