Photovoltaic cells require mining resources and drilling more oil wells to supply the plastics and metals needed not to mention the factories that assemble them. Any attempt to question human involvement in GLOBAL WARMING is met with extreme resistance and in some cases violence from primarily the left. The right seems to want the facts and data to come in, and if they try to collect raw data instead of predictions made by a computer program is met with hostility.   15. @Kevin Wayne you like the idea of using mined metals and oil wells drilled just to get the materials needed for manufacturing of the components needed? The coal and petroleum to fuel the factories that make these things? By supporting this, the emissions from factories and diesel trucks that deliver them will increase. The mining operations and new pipelines will increase. Fracking will increase. Theres no way around this fact, and recycled materials are out of the question. This is just as dumb as colonizing Mars in my opinion.
