  2. @manonvernon8646  I sharpen and hone my sharpest knives on a strop impregnated with red rouge clay. It's like 10,000 grit. Apples to apples over time where enamel is concerned. Yes, they're both abrasives, but plaque and tartar isn't exactly going without some kind of a fight. My dentist comes at me with implements that resonate in my head as a harpoon or a joust. If you start with professionally cleaned teeth, a toothbrush and water should do the trick for a few weeks. I don't do that, but someone with cash and time could.
