No. Black isn't a color friendly to the touch when it's 120° out. Also, it's a slippery surface. Hard to climb. That, and what you said, also.

Makes it slippery at the same time. Also, someone can walk up and throw battery acid on it and come back in a few weeks and just kick through. The paint is surely not ordinary Glidden.

Probably 10 feet. I build fences. No doubt they started with a trench of some kind and put seismic sensors every 100 feet.
2
I know, right? They're actively attempting to make light of a serious issue, meanwhile imply that Trump is using our military as slave labor. Perhaps he could let rapists and captured illegal criminals to paint that wall.
2
Paint would reduce friction, so yes. It would be measurably harder to climb. Especially with sweaty hands. Black also absorbs heat which would make the temperature much greater in the direct sunlight. Perhaps 150° to 180°(enough to cook a steak). I wouldnt want to touch that thing after 9 A.M.

He's a pasty foreigner that Mexico let in. Just out of frame was a Mexican soldier assigned to make sure he wasn't molested by the cartel. He took full advantage of their generosity by making this. Mexico might be more reluctant to have this guy back in the country after they see this.

@quid435 from my experience? These guys are probably from Leavenworth. Just sayin.

@Bayplaces theres no such thing as painting school. Even union painters learn on the job in an apprenticeship program. The reporter prepared that question weeks in advance. This is like an episode of Impractical Jokers.

Yeah. It's pretty amusing knowing people are getting murdered, raped and kidnapped and we need a fence to stop that.

@NickTaylorRickPowers maybe we should make MS13 members(the killers, rapists and drug dealers paint that shit. Maybe the dreamers can earn their path to citizenship that way.🤔
1
@NickTaylorRickPowers Yeah, maybe the military learned that lesson in Vietnam, and installed seismic sensors every couple hundred feet, too. You don't know the designs of this wall, do you? This is built well onto American soil. They can patrol both sides of it and anyone within 500 feet of it has already entered the country illegally. Before you comment on something, know what you're talking about.

I'm sure theres a bonding agent that sticks to rust. I wouldn't want to touch a 160°F piece of iron. Besides, if you know as much about fences as you do about polymers, then you'll know theyll 'walk the line' monthly to make sure nobody tried to hit it with acid or breach it in any way. I'm sure there's not a whole lotta rain in Juarez. Just sayin.
1
Right? We could employ MS13 gang members, asylum seekers and dreamers, too. That wall would be up in a week, then we could deport the criminals. Sounds like a win-win for the Americans!
1
@TigWelder it was kind of a joke, since all of them are criminals. Maybe Pelosi and Hillary could join them.
