@DM-dk7js when one part of the country supresses the other side by stripping them of their accomplishments and merits while simultaneously starving them financially based on political affiliation? Those are crimes. That's the polar opposite of free will and democracy. Grounds for a civil war. Intimidation only goes so far when the other side is ready for ANYTHING. When the shooshting starts, it'll be by people with nothing left to lose. Millions of them., maybe.
