Rudyard Kipling on the fate of a "Tommy," a British Soldier.
I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o' beer,
The publican 'e up an' sez, "We serve no red-coats here."
The girls be'ind the bar they laughed an' giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an' to myself sez I:
O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away";
But it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins", when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins", when the band begins to play.
I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but 'adn't none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-'alls,
But when it comes to fightin', Lord! they'll shove me in the stalls!
For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, wait outside";
But it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide,
The troopship's on the tide, my boys, the troopship's on the tide,
O it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide.
Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap;
An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.
Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll.
We aren't no thin red 'eroes, nor we aren't no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An' if sometimes our conduck isn't all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints;
While it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, fall be'ind",
But it's "Please to walk in front, sir", when there's trouble in the wind,
There's trouble in the wind, my boys, there's trouble in the wind,
O it's "Please to walk in front, sir", when there's trouble in the wind.
You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires, an' all:
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about iwith cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.
For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
An' Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool -- you bet that Tommy sees!

@billymayberry2348 ..
This is what the Russian people can look forward to under Putin:
We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land, and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be.
Winston Churchill 1940

How a typical dictator dies >>>>>>
When Stalin died in 1953 he was busy with the "Jewish Doctors Plot."
February 28, Stalin called up his "chums" Khrushchev, Malenkov, Beria and Bulganin and they all had a jolly (but extremly paranoid) Saturday night watching a movie and drinking. According to Khrushchev’s account of the night, they finished around 5 or 6 in the morning on the Sunday.
On that Sunday Stalin slept in. Only at around 10:30 pm at night did anyone check on him.
They found the dictator on the floor in his pajamas and soaked with urine. An empty glass and mineral water were on the table. It appeared that Stalin had gotten out of bed to get water, but then had a stroke. Members of the dacha staff carried him onto the dining room sofa, where they covered him with a rug.
The staff called Beria who arrived and saw Stalin lying there and said: "Can’t you see, Comrade Stalin is sleeping soundly. Don’t disturb him and stop alarming us.” With the "doctors’ plot" ongoing they did not want to involve his Doctor (who had been arrested anyway as a British Spy). Also, as was his habit of scaring the bejesus out of his so called mates, Stalin had just that night told Beria that "he was next !"
So Beria did nothing and Stalin just lay there and died slowly.
When medical assistance finally arrived at 7 a.m. Monday morning 2nd March, they found Stalin still alive but unresponsive.
The Kremlin announced Stalins death 5th March 1953.
(In the movie you can see Berias reaction when Stalin farted and showed signs of perhaps coming alive again !)

The biggest question how the Russian people will react in 2023. ????? I am just a youtube punter but I have seen on the inetrnet a Russian lads account of getting out of Russia by biking from Saint petersburg to Georgia. He is managing there OK but basically just glad to get out.
I am an old hippy and travelled Asia in 1977. Was not that bad ! So Many people to meet ! Travel is good. especially if you are young.
I cannot speak Russian but I can use google translate :
― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956

Well done Putin ! He has made it as clear as clear can be....
The attempt by Putins regime to have an app and QR code on everyones phone is now a key signature of sht you have to avoid at all costs no matter u r American, Russian, German, Jap or a Chinaman
COERCION is the key to understanding how the MATRIX works and how you can get trapped.
Take note and dont get caught or u r fecked.
COERCION consists of 8 essentials.
Isolation, monopolization of perception, induced dependence by debilitation and exhaustion, threats, occasional indulgences, demonstrations of "omnipotence" and "omniscience", degradation and the enforcement of trivial demands.
Do the opposite.
Communication (not isolation), wide perception (not monopolization of perception), Good HEALTH (certainly not debilitation, exhaustion and then dependence), rewards (not threats), free time for yourself (not just occasional indulgences), JUSTICE (not just demonstrating "omnipotence" and "omniscience" but the actual honouring of deeds & contracts and a common law), FLOURISHING (not degradation).
Enforcing trivial demands?
The first sign.

3/ Meinungsfreiheit
4/ keine Privatarmeen
5/ Petitionsrecht
6/ unabhängige Justiz
7/ keine Folter
8/ keine Religionsgesetze
9/ keine staatlichen Beschlagnahmungen, hohen Geldstrafen oder Steuern
10/ kein Gefängnis ohne fairen Prozess
Das bestimmende Kennzeichen der Diktatur ist Folter in Haft und Zwang (siehe Bidermans Zwangstabelle)
