  2. That was 4 & 1/2 minutes of the Guardian trying to overcomplicate the math, just to come off sounding smart. Did you catch it? 100 people: Yes. Did you die while you had it, either from the disease itself or because it caused something else to kill you? 98 people: No. 2 people: Yes. Congrats, its 2%, or 1 in 50. Which mathematically make it 20x more deadly than ordinary influenza to those who catch it. This isn't difficult math.
