  3. No, the biggest problem with RAP rounds (as we call it) is that it tears the gun tube up. Destroys the howitzer barrel faster. Any Paladin or Triple 7 gunbunny can tell you that loading M549 up the spout makes battery gun chiefs squirm in discomfort. Not sure about XM1113

  5. As usual, the Israelis are doing today what everyone seems too stupid to: Just make your IFV's from the same stuff as your MBT's: add troop space by swapping out some Dakka. Their Namer APC is made from their highly successful Merkava tank. Same speed, mobility, protection, common parts and fuel. Because of course it is. They travel together.

Of course, the same people who freak out about cultured meat are the same idiots who torpedoed irradiated food that cut out harmful preservatives, because they were too stupid to understand it and thought it would give you unwanted super powers. Edit: In the end, what will really prevent this from going mainstream will be Industrial Ranching and their lobbying money. They may be stupid, but they got money, and they're Republican. Honesty and the good of the public don't enter into the conversation.
