The answer was always easy, but a bit freewheeling and fertile ground for some very low level black marketeering: Keep the customs at the ports, not the border, and let Northern Ireland have the best of both worlds. A kind of free trade zone for locals between both EU and UK standards and goods. This interface would become a retail/bootleg mecca in the islands, and please believe it would benefit the Northern Irish economically. Yes, there would be increased smuggling, but the money always flows best at the point of trade. Not the edges of it.

  7. Russia was always planning on removing their statehood anyways. It's not an invasion for stategic/political reasons. It's an ethnic cleansing. By a 1st world superpower. Putin & Dugin's 'Greater Russia' plan isn't a secret, long ago shared it's redrawn map that reaches from the Baltics, the Balkans, northern Iran, and includes Manchuria. The joke is on China and Iran if they think they aren't on the menu too. It has no room for non-Russians. Pogroms will happen.

  10. Did it ever occur to you that many Northern Ireland descendents with their own values don't want to be infighting with a heavily Catholic infused legal/values system? The Sinn Faen/IRA connection is still there, as are some very conservative values. But at least the party has come round on freedom issues like gay marraige and the right to choose
