So much time has passed, but China weaponizes history in a flimsy historical pretext to 'reclaim' Taiwan using the politics of force and border claims that are irrelevant after nearly of a century. Not in living memory anymore, claims are groundless now. What China really wants from Taiwan is to dominate another economic powerhouse and market competitor. China is now nothing more than a megacorporation out to merge and acquire all the economically prosperous 4 Tiger Economies like Hong Kong.

  4. Is this like how their flying boat armada was going to make them the undisputed masters of all Oil shipping in the Gulf area too? Digging holes for the Russian missiles they bought is hardly a game changer. It would be hilarious to see what the Iranians, Saudis and Russians would do if electric vehicles and renewable, domestic power grids put them out of the Oil business. So many dictators with surprised Pikachu faces and empty bank accounts.
