  2. Small, stupid slips of the tongue I get, we know what someone meant. 500 million people, blah blah. It's the deep seated statements of insane belief that stick, such as trees polluting more than cars. It's the gaffe crowd looking for something silly and turning it into a policy point that hamstrings real discourse and flushes any political dignity we have straight down the toilet. At least the British get drunk and heckle honestly in the House of Commons, and it's a total circus run by the MPs leading the pack. It's Congress on a two drink minimum. But the American crucible of public opinion is pure hollywood marketing fluff, plastic and cheese.
