  1. NYC has had very, very primitive and repressive eBike laws. In the one town that should be embracing them more than any other. Just another way to jack someone's property (civil forfeiture) and sell it, AND fine them too. The State of NY can't take your Real Estate, but they can take, and auction off, "instrumentalities" of a crime. Hence, they will sell off this man's bike and pocket the proceeds.
