  1. There's a pair of problems with current man-made spinning station theory designs: Toroids are wildly space constrained and present a Diameter problem to overcome via structural integrity. O'neill and Grey's Vivarium style cylinders solve space efficiency but are wildly unstable depending as mass shifts inside it. It can quickly destabilize from spinning on axis to flipping end-over-end. Aaaawkward...and deadly. The halfway between those two that rarely gets conceptualized is the Diamond polyhedron, shaped like a 10 Sided Die from RPG fame but a little bit narrower at center. It can pump around a fluid ballast mass (station's water supply) on it's outer ring to offset shifts of mass inside (material and people moving about in there) while also increases it's usable interior surface as you get closer to center and reduce artificial gravity, and can use it's own spin to propel logarhithmic curved-path elevators up and down rails without sudden, acutely traumatic changes to it's spinning or to assist in balance without massive energy requirements for straight Up and Down lifts
