  3. @David Powell I would trust the carter center more then NPR. The carter center has an international reputation to protect. NPR have you listened to their reporting? They discussed iowa yesterday for 15 minutes or so and managed to mention literally every other candidate but Warren and Bernie Sanders. They are manufacturing consent with the best of them.

  5.  @ianh1504  me thinks you are trying to be hyper literal. Those small countries got named Banana republics not because of the crop that was raised in the country but because of the fact that that the companies which marketed the bananas took control of the government. Seems appropriate to call the United States a Banana republic under those terms. The barrons of industry have captured our government here the say way they captured the government in all other banana republics.
