Amazing how all these Billionaires who are so desperate to defeat trump are unable to find a single Republican candidate in the entire country to primary him. Kind of makes you think they are more worried about defeating Bernie Sanders than defeating Donald Trump. Otherwise they wouldn't pass up their first chance at defeating their arched enemy. Or atleast forcing him to spend resources fighting a well funded primary challenger.

Marilyn Reallon in 2019 we added $18 billion to the military budget. So we pay to expand out public education system from K-12 to K-16 the same way we paid for the expanded military budget because it is the same cost. The question is do we value education for our youth as much as we value the military industrial complex? In 2008 we spent 1 trillion dollars to bail out the wealthiest people in this country while forcing the working class home owners through the foreclosure process. So we pay for college debt forgiveness the same way we paid to bailout the banks. The question is do we value our youth being able to afford to buy a home as much as we value the wealthy bank owner? Medicare for All is proven to save money compared to our current for profit healthcare system. So the question is how do we pay for our current more expensive system which is responsible for 66% of bankruptcies in the USA?

👍 I couldn't agree more.

When he said Democratic party he means DNC. Not the voters he could care less what the voters want for policy. Just like he wasn't talking about activists who where protesting at standing rock but rather wealthy elite donors who fund the DNC candidates.

Let's hope not. I would rather have to fight the same old dirty tricks we already understand than new dirty tricks...

Have you noticed how well that worked for Warren? Last time I checked her campaign was rearranging the deck chairs in first class.

@Daniea3 oh I don't underestimate their ability to play dirty. But don't overestimate how effective that will be in 2020. The evidence to date shows that it is a failed technique. In 2016 Bernie Sanders was an unknown candidate and with all the dirty tricks they could muster he managed to close a 60 point gap. In 2020 he is the candidate with name recognition and the grassroots movement behind him. This time the wealthy elite use their money to attack Bernie Sanders and the result is in 48 hours we donate $1.5 million to his campaign. People see the ads attacking him and we call more people and explain to them how the attacks are wrong how Bernie Sanders is fighting for the working class. The tide has turned. What we are seeing is the last desperate attempts by the plutocrats to hold onto power. But while they have the money we have the numbers. In a democracy numbers win.

The Republican party just proved they are the party of fascism. The senate just voted on party lines to not hear evidence in the impeachment trial. The modern Republican party is simply intrested in holding onto power at any cost. Nothing more than a group of old wealthy white man who are scared of losing control more than anything else. The corporate Democrats are the non racist alternative for wealthy elites who want to make sure the working class doesn't take too much of their wealth. We need to vote for progressive candidates who put the wellbeing of the entire community over the wellbeing of the wealthy if we want to have a government of, by, and for the people again. We currently have a wealthy ruling class which has taken over both political parties.

You don't understand the entire point to people like this is to insure that heads they win tails we lose. Half a century ago neoliberalism invaded the Democratic party to insure that there was no party for the working class in America. This is how the 1% has won the battle field in class warfare. It is also why they are scares to death of the progressive Bernie Sanders movement. They are just waking up to the reality that we are taking the party back.

What are the chances that would actually hurt Bernie Sanders? It is unclear to me who a spoiler would hurt in 2020. Trump has the racist vote locked in for sure. The vote red no matter who voter will vote trump. Bernie Sanders has the progressive vote and if he is the nominee he has the vote of anyone who just votes Democratic party ticket. So the spoiler will pull what the never Bernie Hillary Clinton crowd? I suspect more independents will vote for Bernie Sanders than vote for Trump. Independents definitely won't vote for a billionaire who bought his way onto the ballot as a spoiler. Ross Perot running as a spoiler actually helped the democratic nominee go on to victory. My guess is a spoiler candidate would mostly provide a chance for independent voters who are independent because they don't trust the Republicans to have a chance to vote for a "conservative" instead of voting for Trump. In a trump Bernie race I wouldn't bet on a spoiler helping trump.

@andromidius but the hope for all of us is that more people are going to independent media. I can't remember the last time I watch TV news it would be decades ago now.
