Obama had a Democrat supermajority and gave us a Heritage foundation healthcare plan. He should have been able to get a public option at the very minimum and really if he had pushed it Medicare for All. Any Democratic who wouldn't have backed that plan have been pressured. If Obama told them vote for the public option or I will personally make sure your primary opponent crushes you any Democrat would have fallen in line. What Democrat would want to face the voters with the Democratic president comming out an campaigning for your challenger? There where ways he could have and should have done more. Look what the GOP has done in 2 years with a one vote majority.

Don't shame the citizens who didn't vote listen to them and give them a reason to vote. The lesser of 2 evils arguments clearly doesn't work on them regardless of it it is correct. Give them something good to vote for. We need more people like AOC wbo give people a reason to believe in them and to vote for them. The Hillary Clinton DWS politicans are to blame for not being canadates worthy of voting for. The DNC is to blame for supporting these candidates. So long as the establishment refuses to listen to the citizen the citizens will refuse to vote for them because they won't represent the citizens. A higher percentage of Republican votes support Medicare for All then elected Democrats in office. That fact alone tells you all you need to know about why people didn't vote for candidates who don't support the policies they want.

@a-yo126 what are you trying to say electing those centrists corporatist Democrats because they are "the lesser of two evils" actually doesn't help us get the policy we need?

@a-yo126 I think Jimmy Doore is right the long game isn't served by supporting the centrist candidates 4 decades of that has proven that it moves the Overton window to the right which gets us further from the policy we need.

@aaronpolitical you are still making the lesser of 2 evils arguments and not listening to what I said. There is a saying those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Thanks for proving that there is in fact one way the Democrats can loose and it is to refuse to listen and learn from their mistakes.
