  2. You reduce the dependency on SA oil by removing the demand for oil in the economy the technology was there in 2008. But Obama choose to having a fracking boom instead of the Solar Boom that China and India are having or the off shore Wind Boom that Europe is having. It is bad policy to pollute our ground water fracking because we refuse to switch to modern renewable energy. It has cost us a new renewable energy based economy of the future. Your short term thinking has allowed China to pass us in solar PV production.
