Ironically they will be the same people who need their second amendment rights to fight a tyrannical government. They go silent when you ask them if the citizens who are peacefully assembled under their first amendment rights should use their second amendment rights against the tyrannical government that murdered citizens in the streets.

If your boss tells you to do something immoral like murder people you have a moral obligation to say no and end your employment with them. Also report them to a higher authority. I was just following order has been used as a defense before study history to find out why it doesn't work.

Johnny Fishfingers well not without a bloody revolution which seldom ends in democracy. Just look at the middle east or Latin America. That road hasn't ended well since about the French revolution. Typically what happens is you replace the broken democracy with a military dictatorship. What you described is how governments fall into fascist dictatorships.

You are talking about the same police who feel threatened by water bottles and attacked them with knives. I would suspect they will not respond well to paint guns or paint bombs. Those are definitely the terms they will use or some worse more military sounding terms to justify their vilification of peaceful protests.

@alandgomez5905 no at the moment the military has refused to get involved and the governors have refused to call them in. Currently this has not risen to anything like the summer of 67. Not to mention a full blown Marshall law. But trump and the oligarchy would definitely welcome the opportunity to justify that transition.

Nancy Pelosi could pass legislation to address the grievances of the protesters if she wanted but she doesn't want to. Why the only attack ads against trump come from Republican organizations. I have wondered how the fascist would respond to gas masks and vests but I suspect it would be with more deadly force. After all they are already using weapons not allowed in war on civilians and less lethal weapons not non lethal.

The police in NY drove over civilians and the mayor said ofcourse the police did they had to get out of a dangerous place. Funny I thought it was the job of the police to go into danger and protect the citizens from it but apparently I was mistaken it is their job now to go away from danger and kill civilians.

Or that murders them in the streets. Or throws 75 year old men on the pavement and puts them in the ICU.
