Comments by "Dan A" (@DanA-nl5uo) on "AOC Protested by Susan Sarandon, Medicare For All Activists" video.
Funny I felt that way about Nancy Pelosi when they played the video of her trying to get the speaker of the house to vote for Medicare for All in the 90s and now refuses to hold a vote for it today. Or with AOC when she rolled over for Mamma Bear and refused to be part of the Medicare for All movement during a global pandemic. But Paula Jean continuing to fight after the Democratic party establishment worked against her last senate race to help the Republican get elected into a split Senate. No I have nothing but love and respect for Paula.

A young Nancy Pelosi is on video asking the speaker of the house to hold a vote on Medicare for All. AOC actually locked the door on Medicare for All faster than Nancy Pelosi did. I guess Momma Bear really did earn her tittle.

You have to push the people who are closest to your goals before you worry about the Joe Manchin's of the world. AOC literally asked for this when she was campaigning.
3
There was a sign on the door that it was closed Monday but opening Tuesday. It was only closed because she wouldn't even let her staff listen to the demand to meet her campaign promises.

Funny because AOC just called out her fellow Democratic member in the Senate telling her good luck passing anything in a house with a 3 vote margin without her support for the reconciliation bill in the senate and here you are undermining AOC comment by saying she is powerless as only one vote. Clearly AOC understands that 3 votes is all it takes and there are what over 100 members of the "progressive" caucus she can in theory pick any 2 to vote with her to force her will in the house.

@Tijggie82 please you honestly think she was working do hard she couldn't find the time to post a tweet in support of marches for the signature policy that got her elected? Talk about a bad faith argument.
2
@Tijggie82 she has what 1 million twitter followers? Bernie Sanders said we will get Medicare for All when 1 million Americans march for it. So AOC has the followers all she had to do was tweet in support of them and she could have pushed this March for Medicare for All to the point where Bernie Sanders said we need it to get Medicare for All. But if you don't believe her following and her ability to vote with the other "progressives" in the house to block any legislation is power you don't understand what political power is. Which is why people like you fold to Joe Manchin and Mitch McConnell
2
@Tijggie82 because she is the one who made her reputation on wanting us to bring the ruckus. The goal was to get canadate AOC who worked with activites back. The one who realized like Bernie Sanders that you need outside pressure from the working class protestors to pressure politicans not inside games with the last generation to give up the same fight once they became leadership. You can literally watch the video of Mamma Bear asking the then leadership to vote for Medicare for All in the 90s. We kmow from decades of experience that not pressuring lawmakers once they get to Washington and letting them play the inside game makes them into Nancy Pelosi. So you want us to sit back and watch AOC become her role model and lose the next 30 years. I say no we need to keep pushing because we know where the other road leads you just need to look at the current speaker of the house to know why AOC needs to be reminded what got here there and why she shouldn't lock the door on activists.

Maybe the people's party can field a candidate on her district.

@nolidee4917 join the people's party in the bylaws of the party is the fact that they don't accept corporate bribes

@Xckel13 while I agree unfortunately they care about the lobbyist as ExxonMobil told us

@bobthomas6846 I always find it 🤣🤣😞 when people reply to someone with comments about you doing something then they backpedal and say when I said you I wasn't singling you out. Clearly someone doesn't understand the English language of is just too much of a coward to stand behind their statements
1
@Tijggie82 what did AOC just say the other day about the 3 vote margin??? You can ask questions all day to try and deflect from responsibility for choices made. But all you are doing is rationalization of the status quo. And playing the powerless victim card same as the conservatives try to do
1
@Wudman no actual Kyle Kulinski the co founder of Justice Democrats has been very clear he wanted to name it the left tea party because the goal was to use the same tactics of voting as a block and not agreeing to let anything pass until you got what you were sent there to do done. He has called them out several times and left the organization because they are using a "inside" approach the doesn't work instead of an outside disruption approach the the organization was founded to have.
1
@Tijggie82 there are 117 cosponsors of Medicare for All in the house right now. By your logic that means not one of them is currupt even though with 117 cosponsors they can't even get a vote on the legislation. 🤣🤣🤣 that seems reasonable.
1
@Tijggie82 again you use the argument that because others are bad we should look the other way when AOC does bad things.
1
@Tijggie82 those who refuse to study history are doomed to repeat it. You need to learn from Nancy Pelosi and the entire Democratic party leadership since FDR put Medicare in the platform but you refuse to so we know where that leaves you. Have a nice day. There is no point is talking to someone deaf as a fence post.
1
@Tijggie82 no I am just done with your trolling you are now on the mute list.
