@davesmith3892 they had zero sick days. You are gaslighting or ignorant and given how well it has been covered I will go for gaslighting I noticed you didn't answer why you think the profits the wealthy making 40% margins are more important than the things you tried to use as leverage against the workers.

On August 5, following the PATCO workers' refusal to return to work, the Reagan administration fired the 11,345 striking air traffic controllers who had ignored the order, and banned them from federal service for life. That is how Reagon did it.

Unions across the country need to primary all 290 members of the house who voted against them in 2024. It is time to vote out all members of Congress who side with the billionaires making 20 billion dollars in profits while not even giving the working class sick leave after a pandemic.
5
@davesmith3892 why do you think the profit of understaffing and forcing people work work sick is more important than all those things you listed?
4
@davesmith3892 you clearly didn't listen to the labor union reps go to democracy now and watch the video there where they interviewed him and he explains why they voted this down. Spoiler alert it will tell you it was because they didn't have sick leave.

Federal workers get paid sick leave so what do they have to lose?

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. —Martin Niemöller It is time for all workers to stand together. We need to tell Congress all 290 members who voted for this will be facing a pro working class primary in 2024 backed by all unions across the country. They all betrayed the working class and need to be voted out of office.

@toptenguy1 you are missing a lot. In this situation the federal government is suppose to be a 3rd party arbitrator as the dispute is between private sector employers and employees. The law argues in certain cases the risk to the economy is so great that both parties need to listen to the government. But the unions across the country are also missing the fact that they have leverage over Congress united even with the low percentage of all American workers in a union they have the power to determine who wins elections across the country. They have the power to write ballet referendums and get them passed in about half the states. Which means they have the power to vote the 290 members of the house wbo forced them back to work out of office in 2024. They have the power to pass term limits in half the state unions and the working class at large has the power to get Ranked Choice Voting in more states like Maine. This is one thing that scares the crap out of both parties in the duopoly because they know the current first pass the post lesser of 2 evils system is the only way they can force labor to vote against their best interests out of fear. Ranked choice voting means labor can vote for a candidate who supports labor before voting against the worse evil out of fear. Which means a candidate who supports the unions can be their first choice and if the working class votes first for their own interests in the class warfare the wealthy will not be able to buy the election because they have the money but we have the numbers.

@YTCensors Reagan fired over 11,000 airline workers and band them from federal government jobs for life. I would guess they will try something like that here. But I think all unions should call in sick and send a message to Congress that labor is standing together in a blue flu until Congress sides with the unions not management. Them tell them come 2024 every member of Congress who is against labor will find a union backed challenger and rank choice voting on every state ballot that allows it.

@davesmith3892 sounds like you are old and brainwashed not even willing to listen to video evidence. So welcome to my mute list

@kayokayo7917 the wealthy see the long term cost of labor waking up to the power of collective bargaining as a bigger threat than the impact of the potential strike or the loss of the trivial profits the sick time will cost them. This is about making sure the working class understands who has the power. The federal reserve told us all there has to be more unemployment because the price gouging of the corporations can't be questioned as the cause of inflation. The 40% profit margin of the railway industry can't be questioned the workers must fall in line and do as they are told. This is the front line of the current class war in the USA and the wealthy know once workers wake up to the power they have in a democracy they will be looking a FDR new deal era politics not the Reagan neoliberalism which is austerity for the working class and wealth transfer to the wealthiest in society.

@toptenguy1 you are welcome. Through asking questions and sharing knowledge we hopefully can grow the movement we need to turn the tide in the class warfare Warren Buffett told us his class was winning a long time ago.

@jimcarrington6744 it is never to late to stand with those who need support. The quote is spot on as they are literally coming for the unions as in that quote
1
@jimcarrington6744 you seem very confused. Why you wouldn't want the working class to stand together against the wealthy is beyond my understanding. But nothing I said was an attack on the homeless so have a nice night I am done wasting time on a distraction.

She isn't acting she is until the next season of Congress. She is just making sure the donors get what they paid for in the class warfare.

Amazing how quickly Congress can act to screw over the working class and protect a handful of billionaires making 20 billion dollars off the labor of people who only asked for sick leave after a global pandemic.
