  1. If it isn't illegal for a campaign to give money to voters they could definitely get a better return on their investment by skipping advertising on corporate media. I mean a weekly check in my mailbox from a campaign would definitely get my attention even if they never directly asked for my vote. This is just another form of curruption. It is the same logic that saids politicians are not beholden to the corporations who give them money.
