@SpectatingBystander I think you government values it's citizens more then ours. We can't afford teachers we spent all the money on our military industrial complex. I graduated in 93 and can't remember a single class with less then 20 and I was in the college prep program.

@rrpearsall well atleast the homeless will get 3 meals a day in prison... The reality is they need to pressure the senators and Congress members though because the federal government is the one who has the power to print money. The city and state governments do not have the ability to make money out of thin air the way the federal reserve has done for wallstreet. But probably most helpful would be to find out where Bloomberg lives and camp out there because he bought got our government.

@troyfall6573 the house passed legislation. The head of the Senate refused to take that legislation up for debate and also refused to pass their own legislation. The impasse is 100% the fault of Mitch McConnell believing he has the right to exnore the house and refuse to present any help to Americans in need. Trump and Mitch McConnell own the impasse. Just as trump owned the government shutdown. The Republicans believe that government shouldn't do anything to help citizens they have convinced their voters there is nothing the government can do to help them. It has been going on since Ronald Reagan fearmongered about how he was scared to hear I am from the government and here to help. Because apparently the GOP hates sending federal government aid to people in need. So no this is 100% on Mitch McConnell and Trump. Trump has refused to actually do his job and protect the health and wellbeing of the citizens telling us to inject disinfectants and that this pandemic will magically go away. When you elect people who don't believe in science and don't believe in the ability of themselves to help you as the heads of government the result is 192,818 dead Americans and counting on their watch. We know what Mitch McConnell cares about it is the wealthy because he has only allowed the cares act to be brought up for discussion. That was welfare for the wealthy. Mitch McConnell believes you are only worth a one time payment of $1200 while Banks and corporations got trillions of dollar. But I expect nothing less from a person who accepts bribery and calls himself the Grim Reaper. Mitch McConnell has been in your face with who is role model is.

If just 2 Democratic senators refused to vote for anything until we get $15 minimum wage we would have it. It just take Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren or Ed Markey and we get what progressives want.
