@TylerSere you mean the Democratic party actually refused to give up all their leverage for once? Yes I did know that they refused to take the one item that trump wants out of the bill and pass it giving the GOP a win for nothing in return.

@jamesevans1890 you don't seem to understand the GOP. The extension was until after the November election. It was a chance for Trump to say he gave you money without giving the Democrats a single other thing. Nancy counted with make the payment continue until February so the next administration can have a stable system to start with. The Republicans said nope we won't do that. Which means the entire game was to try and stabilize the economy until after they win reelection and if they don't win reelection let the economy go to hell for the next administration before they take office. So no simply fooling people into voting for Republicans in November wasn't a win. If you want to be pissed be pissed that the GOP wanted to keep the ability to crash the economy in the lame duck session. Because that is the trick they where making and you didn't see.

@TylerSere Nancy Pelosi countered with extend it till February and the gop said no way we want to crash the economy in the lane duck session if we lose. You seem to have missed that part. So the leverage was actually to make sure the GOP didn't fuck the next administration and the country with a trashed economy during the lame duck session.

@jamesevans1890 the cares act loans will be forgiven in time based on some conditions mostly not laying off employees so no the companies got free money assuming they play by the rules.

@jamesevans1890 but the gop is holding them hostage the Democratic party passed legislation 2 months ago and simply said ok then make this last until the next administration and the gop said no. 2 months of the GOP delaying and refusing to do anything doesn't make it a crisis on the Democratic party it is a failure of the GOP

@jamesevans1890 the cares act is tricky. It is basically a chance for the wealthy elite to cheery pick which businesses they want to foreclose on. Because the loans can be forgiven but we saw in 2009 that Steve Manchin became wealthy for his roll in forcing home owners into foreclosure instead of refinancing for them. The same type of thing will happen here with the cares act. Tons of small businesses will be forced to close many have already after taking the money and will file bankruptcy on the loans. It is a scary number of the jobs that are considered permanently lost in the USA already. But the big companies like the airlines have done layoffs and the cares act leaves enforcement to Steve Manchin who seems to be ok with them taking the money and laying off employees. It is a very poorly written bill so that the big companies who bought got our government can take the money and run while the small companies will vanish and the assets be taken by the wealthy bankers who underwrite the loans. The real money in the USA is the federal reserve dumping money into wallstreet and the best information on that I have seen is right here when Dylan Radigan has been on.

@susanmercurio1060 check out the clip from the TYT main show Friday I think it was. They covered it along with the hill and Kyle Kulinski IIRC. But I heard from several sources that the counter offer Nancy Pelosi made was February for the $600 as a standalone bill and Grim Reaper McConnell went on vacation basically saying if I can't crash the economy after the election I will crash it now instead.

@jamesevans1890 if mitch McConnell had agreed the $600 unemployment would have been passed as a stand alone bill until February. The fact that he refused to go beyond the Nov election tells you he is living up to his self titled name Grim Reaper McConnell. But as to what the Democratic party asked for Trump has put Funding for the new FBI building into the relief bill. What does that have to do with the pandemic? I get why he doesn't want a new Hotel near trump hotel though. But more on point the Republican party had 2 months to pass their own bill and enter reconciliation with the democratically controlled house. That is how our system is supposed to work both houses of Congress pass legislation and resolve the differences in resolution. When mitch McConnell refused to bring legislation to the Senate floor proudly naming himself the grim Reaper because of it in fact he proves the full meaning of the name. Americans are dieing because Mitch McConnell and Trump chose to put party over country again with the pandemic. I am not a fan of the corporate Democrats but at the moment Grim Reaper McConnell is the one earning his name as he goes home on vacation. If you can't see the difference you are not looking at which people took actions to insure that legislation stopped in its tracks by refusing to take to debate on the floor.

@jamesevans1890 but you refuse to hold Mitch McConnell responsible for not accepting a the same extension carried out through February. So apparently you are ok with the same people being screwed in December just in time for Christmas. Interesting.

Ofcourse Congress went home Jeff Bezos made 12 billion dollars in a single day they don't need to worry about the GDP so long as the fed keeps pumping money into the stock market everything is wonderful.
