The problem with this theory is that not everyone in an organization has the skills required to fill every role in the organization. It isn't possible to assume everyone at Tesla would be able to do the specialized tasks of choosing the correct battery chemistry for example.

@advandepol7537 the exceptions you speak of like medicine will quickly fall apart without speciality skills in other fields like designing the manufacturing equipment that makes green technology like solar panels. I am all for worker cooperatives and a simplier lifestyle but our modern society will simply not function without specialized skills.

@KMFDM_Kid2000 that doesn't help the accounting department or the CFO understand what it takes to do the job of the electrical engineer or software engineer. So no you didn't solve it you just duplicated the problem with the current business model.

@PCFLSZ actually Richard Wolff had talked about the need for specialized skills and the value of them before that is why I made the comment it is upsetting to see him not see the problem with this as he has said before we live in a society which depends on specialization.
