The problem is that it is meaningless. They didn't say scrap the tax code and start over with no exemptions to income or profits. One persons loophole is another persons child tax credit.

@charles-y2z6c I know as an American you have the same for profit healthcare system that I have to use that cost twice per capita what it costs in any other developed countries with single payer healthcare. I know you live in a society where your taxes subsidize companies like ExxonMobil for 100% of their drilling expenses. I know your taxes subsidize the workers at Walmart and McDonald's who don't earn a living wage because our government doesn't require that corporations making billions pay a living wage to their employees It seems I know a few things about the society we live in that are how you are supporting politicians voting against your own self interest.
