Nancy Pelosi do you duty and hold the impeachment hearing NOW!!!

@tnmtemerity wrong the first step is for the house to hold the impeachment hearings. The Senate then holds a vote to see if the impeached president will be removed from office.

@utterbullspit sorry but the constitution doesn't say let a criminal remInd in office committing crimes.

@kalen8693 You underestimate the bind the GOP senate will be in. When faced with a public hearing exposing all the crimes trump has already committed the GOP will have to choose between admitting they are a crime syndicate or throwing donnie under the bus and hope to convince his base that they where duped by a con man but that the party has found a new racist demigod to back. I suspect they will do the latter but if they do the former it will help get them voted out of office in 2020. Mitch McConnell is up for reelection this time and we need to back him in the corner and expose how much of a criminal he and his wife are every way we can. These types of things don't survive in the light of day. Sure being currupt in the dark is ok his home state got millions in government funds from his curruption but people don't like the world knowing they back criminals to rep them.

@mary11976 there is only one head of the Senate and that is why Nancy Pelosi has a duty to hold the impeachment hearing. It has nothing to do with her being a Democrat it has everything to do with her stepping up and saying I want the job as leader of the house of representatives. If she isn't up to the job she can step aside Maxine Waters would be more then able to make the hard choices needed by leadership.
1
@kalaperr you are saying the Democrats are powerless to stop a criminal from continuing to run his crime syndicate as president. That is a very tragic perspective. So long as people think Democrats need to get approval from Mitch McConnell to do anything you are accepting that we have infact only one political party setting the addenda. I don't accept that we need strong people like AOC Bernie Sanders and a few others who will fight back against the curruption not ask the currupt GOP for permission to do their jobs like Nancy Pelosi is currently doing with Mitch McConnell.

@tarotofhappiness8402 so your argument is if you want to violate the constitution of the USA as president just pick a VP who is more extreme. Wow what great logic. Sorry but the law doesn't allow someone to protect themselves from a speeding ticket by telling the police well there are only 2 of us in the car and the passenger would have driven twice as fast so you can't give me a ticket for speeding. As to the 2020 election we need to have the impeachment hearing because it is the right thing to do both constitutionally and politically. People want strong perspectives like AOC who fight for them not weak people like Nancy who waits for the other side to tell her what she can do. Impeachment hearings will expose the gop and being out the Democratic voters.

@djondjon Clinton's impeachment helped the GOP take control of Congress and it also stopped Hillary Clinton from becoming president because everyone hates the Clinton family as a result. If you think impeachment of Clition didn't help the GOP you don't understand the history of how we got where we are today with the gop having the power it has.
1
@lenasgrand-daughter1871 we already have overwhelming proof watch the video of Elizabeth Warren discussing the Mueller report on the floor of the Senate. The investigation showed plenty of crimes. If you don't feel we have enough proof you have not been paying attention.
1
@mary11976 so your point is a meritless impeachment hearing for bill Clinton was still powerful enough to boost the gop but you don't think one with merit will help the Democrats? That is crazy exposing the GOP for their support of the criminal president will drive "independent" voters away from the party and leave them with only their core of racists bigots who are not enough voters to win. But being weak will allow the same voters to say well I guess I will stick with the party that can actually get things done.
1
@mary11976 leadership isn't taking the next step when you can count on support from your opponent. Leadership is taking the next step because it is the right thing to do and convincing others to follow you. If Nancy only wants to follow the crowd she has no place in leadership. Which is ok there is only a need for one person at the top so if she isn't up to it step aside and let someone else take the roll.
1
@mary11976 well if your handle is any indication we would have the same timeline of watching DC but you seem to have the oppion that we are dealing the the pre Greenwich GOP who where reasonable not the post Greenwich Mitch McConnell GOP. If you wait for them to agree you simply bow to their way of doing things. Compromise and agreement require both sides be rational actors and that is not the current situation with our politicians it hasn't been since Greenwich.
1
@mary11976 oh as to more patience if the impeachment process takes longer then the term of the presidency than it is a useless tool. We need to act now if it is to be a check and ballance on the powers of the executive branch.
1
@mary11976 no we don't have to just wait we can put pressure on the politicians to do the right thing now.
1
@kalen8693 don't worry about the cult members they are a small minority of all Americans even a minority of voters.
1
@kalen8693 war give me a break our police force would easily handle the few nut cases who might actually have the nerve to act on their crazy.
1
@kalen8693 you sound like a conspiracy theorist at this point I don't believe our country is as far gone as you think it is. Have a nice day

@tnmtemerity what do you need proof of? The House of Representatives has the responsibility to actually hold impeachment hearing and impeach the president at which point the Senate holds the trial as you pointed out from the constitution. So step one is for Nancy Pelosi to hold impeachment hearing after which Trump will be impeached for his criminal actions including his direct violations of the constitution in the form of the emoluments clause. There is plenty of evidence. The same way Bill Clinton was impeached. Sure there is a chance that the GOP could choose to publicly admit they value party over country and not remove trump from office. The Senate choose to not remove Bill Clinton for lying under oath about his sex life to a special counsel investigation into a perfectly legal land sale. So it is very import that the public impeachment hearing in the house expose the crimes trump has committed to the public. Nixon is a better example of what will happen with a real criminal not a political witch hunt. Nixon was wildly popular before the house started to hold hearing and inform the public of his crimes. At which point his popularity plummeted and he resigned rather then be forced out. Trump will force the Senate to hold the trial which is really just a vote of the members. But that will force the Senators running for relection to choose between party and country right now they don't have to vote to keep a president in power who just sat in the oval office and said he would commit a felony in order to get relection. Forcing Senator Lindsey Graham to come out and ask the FBI to tell all politicians that it would be a felony the FBI would want to know about. Proving that the one thing the GOP Senate cares more about then the gop is protecting their own jobs. When forced to publicly support trumps true crimes against the constitution Graham showed his cards he will voter against trump to try and save his own neck.

@tnmtemerity but the Senate is not where it starts so my point holds true that Nancy Pelosi has to take the first step. Only an idiot would hold a vote on impeachment in the house of representatives without public hearings. It is the one opportunity the Democratic party has to make their case to the public and force the Senate to face reactions to their choice. My point in saying that it is little more than a vote in the Senate is to point out that Mitch McConnell can choose to hold the Senate in closed session without public scurrying of the process. Just one more vote in the middle of the night so to speak. Control of the house makes it the place where the Democrats need to make their case to the public for impeachment not defure to Mitch McConnell and the gop controlled Senate. I do find it funny that you choose to judge my understanding of the constitutional process by a few comments on a YouTube video though that is funny thanks for the laugh in a dark topic. So infact as the process has to start with impeachment by the house before the Senate can act Nancy has all the power today not Mitch McConnell in the Senate. Mitch is powerless to hold trump accountable for his crimes until after Nancy Pelosi holds a vote on impeachment.
1
@tnmtemerity funny I thought you where the one who couldn't admit you where wrong and that the House of Representatives has to take the first step not the Senate.
1
@tnmtemerity you said the house is powerless and that the Senate has all the power which is wrong the house infact has all the power right now because they have to start the process until Nancy impeaches trump the Senate is infact powerless.
1
@tnmtemerity so the body which can't do anything today has the most power great logic. You sound just like Nancy Pelosi waiting for Mitch McConnell to give her permission to do her duty.
1
@tnmtemerity rofl I just noticed you are still beating a week old dead horse.
