Caplistist spent the last half century outsourcing to increase profits. Why would anyone be surprised that building manufacturing capacity in Asia has resulted in their economy growing? Anyone who doesn't understand this fails to understand how capitalism works.

@smartandhandsome you are only about 20 years out of date on your view of China. Over the last couple of decades they have built a high tech engineering college program and graduated engineers. It isn't the 90s anymore when we where shipping production lines over to asia only to have to send our engineers over to do routine maintenance. I know because I sold production equipment to them in the 90s through about 2010. Those decades saw a huge change in their skills.

We do have more medical bankruptcy per capita but healthcare sorry but Tiawan and China both stopped the pandemic while we lead the world in deaths. Wealth? They have their billionaires as we have our. They don't buy American debt and American buildings because of a lack of wealth. China has lifted more people out of poverty than any other nation in the last half century. While millions of Americans are now homeless you see them in all our major cities. In America living in your car is now a thing it wasn't before 2008. Infrastructure give me a break ours has a D minus rating needing 4 trillion dollars worth of work for the roads alone. China has spent the last 20 years building new highways. Google china belts and roads. Check out the massive machines they have that literally drop entire road sections in place for their highways. My best friend works for the highway department rebuilding the highway here in the USA. His entire career for the last 2 decades has been one expansion project on one highway in NH and he has said he expect to retire in 15 years time when he Hope's to hit the mass border. China is so far ahead of use on how to build modern highways it is crazy. I sent my friend who works on the highway here the video of their machine building the highway and he replied that would do in weeks what we do in a full year.

@netiturtle wrong prices are set to the maximum the consumers will pay. The companies have a fiduciary obligation to maximize profits which means they are obligated to seek out the lowest costs at any means regardless of the sales price. It has nothing to do with consumers it is 100% about meeting the obligation to maximize profits for the owner class.
