@susutag the wealthy 1% of the global population accounts for more emmisions than the bottom half (3.5 billion) of all humanity. This is a lifestyle choice. If you don't approve of the carbon footprint in china stop outsourcing your carbon footprint there by buying chinese goods. Because the reality is they only built the energy grid they have to build your imported goods.

@ArawnOfAnnwn the biggest issue with beef can be solved by diet that helps them break down methane. But honestly the climate crisis wasn't caused by cows because they never added one molecule of carbon to the biosphere your car did that when the ff industry pumped it out of the wells.

@antonymackin when the farms stop using ff their carbon footprint will drop. Those tractors burn a ton of diesel fuel today. But I definitely support everyone growing their own garden it is the best usage of that lawn you could have. But deflecting from the ff industry is what you are doing regardless of if you intend to or not

@ArawnOfAnnwn the carbon that is pumped from deep wells was outside the biosphere it was locked up before the human species evolved. So yes the ff industry does add it to the biosphere. The carbon the cows eat comes from grass that was pulling it out of the atmosphere during the summer and would release it again in the fall anyway. Carbon from plants to animals is the natural carbon cycle and not the problem
