Better than their dependency on ff.
6
Solar and wind is the cheapest form of new energy generation today.
5
Getting your energy locally will increase your GDP it is a huge part of your economy that is now domestic. So infact renewable energy is the answer not the problem. You only see it as a problem if you sell ff.
5
@Spartan-jg4bf the people in Texas blamed wind turbines for their outage when the gas plants froze too. If there was no renewable energy the demand for ff would be higher and the market price would be higher with more demand. You don't understand simple supply and demand when you blame the thing lowering demand for not lowering it enough to keep the price of a limited supply low.
5
They had almost zero impact on the farm land the cows just walk around the base of the windmill and the footprint is meaningless compared to the size of the field.
4
There are translation panels that are used in that way in many places.
4
@garry8390 I have been involved in the environmental movement since I built and drove a EV in the Tour de sole in the mid 90s. I live off grid with solar so be careful who you choose to attack as an armchair environmentalist. As you push the most expensive solution with the biggest waste problem
4
@Spartan-jg4bf blame a lack of gas on the alternative energy sources that lower demand for gas. Priceless
3
@Spartan-jg4bf oh so there it is you have a vested self interest in protecting the status quo. It is impossible to convince someone of something their financial situation demands they not accept.
3
@Spartan-jg4bf by the way since your self interest blocked your understanding of the Texas comparison I will make it really simple for you. It is the same deflection technique of blaming the renewable energy sector for the failure of the ff industry
3
@Spartan-jg4bf wow the chicken and egg argument now to defend coal. Amazing you assume people you don't know are ignorant. There is also a company making wooded bases for windmills so the steal makes up a small percentage of their design. You should look them up they are pretty well know in the European energy sector. I am willing to bet you know who it is but wanted to make a bad faith argument assuming you would go unchecked on it.
3
@MrZozue you think they would have better luck maintaining ff infrastructure than solar panels when the economy collapses? The mantaince on my solar panels is absolutely nothing at all they just sit there and make electricity for me. Why would you think that is harder to handle than a power plant that requires a constant flow of raw materials to operate?
3
@stormelemental13 in other countries where their isn't large scale hydro dams the grid will be stabilized by storage technology like liquid air. The future is here now.
3
@Spartan-jg4bf you claim to be in the European energy sector and don't know Vestas is working with Modvion the swedish firm making wooden bases for their wind turbines. So your comments about ignorance where pure projection.
2
Nuclear power is the single most expensive form of new energy generation today. No one should want to waste money on this technology.
2
@garry8390 you are the one with a shallow understanding of nuclear power as you have no clue what a peoblem half a century of nuclear waste has left behind.
2
You should try listening to the video before you comment it will make you look like less of a paid troll for the ff industry in your denial. Then lean how renewable energy is actually produced and stored.
2
@PistonAvatarGuy plenty of places have huge hydro. But the nice thing about electricity is the ability to store it many way. Storage isn't a problem. I use batteries for my off grid solar system. Some places will use grid scale thermal mass or liquified air storage. 100% renewable energy is completely possible and the future no matter how much you try to deny it or say it can't be done the world is changing.
2
@PistonAvatarGuy like I said the single most expensive form of energy. You must love over paying for things. Nuclear power is the single most expensive form of new power generation
2
It probably has to do with a lack of ff resources. The countries which don't have a profit motive to keep the ff industry alive will be the first to leave in on the past.
2
I was thinking than the world super powers. But yes good to shame those of us who are lagging.
2
Wow way to deflect from the entire point of the video. Gold star for you.
1
@Spartan-jg4bf you should check out the battery storage Tesla built in Australia it had Amazing surge ability far in excess of any ff industry power plant.
1
@Spartan-jg4bf the vast majority of a wind turbine is the wooden pole have you ever even seen a wind turbine?
1
@Spartan-jg4bf base load is a BS term made up by the ff industry to justify low ramping ff industry powered boilers.
1
nuclear is not safer than renewable energy. Wind and solar don't produce nuclear waste. Which lasts longer than the human species has walked the earth.
1
sence you think Nuclear power is safe you keep the nuclear waste on your property and I will keep my solar panels on mine we will see who lives longer and who dies of cancer
1
@uusfiyeyh sure anything that is pure fiction is safe. Solar panels and wind turbines are real technology we have today with more than enough capacity to meet our needs at far lower costs.
1
@FranFerioli wow so glad you know more about early stage technology than the companies developing it. Not to mention how you have no clue how many technologies for batteries exist. Someone 100 years ago was saying that oil isn't everywhere it might work in texas but their is no way it will work everywhere we will alway ride horses we can feed out here where their is no oil. That was ment to the orginal poster YouTube put it in the wrong place
1
@PistonAvatarGuy you should visit Canada they provide an insane amount of hydro electricity to the USA. You know that country you said is gluten for energy. But you are intentionally missing the point that renewable energy isn't a one solution fits all world like the ff industry.
1
@FranFerioli sorry that post went to the wrong poster. YouTube does that sometimes
1
@PistonAvatarGuy 🤣🤣🤣 wow you total missed that we share a power grid with Canada and point to the fact that the ff industry has caused drought as a reason we should keep using ff. Amazing.
1
@PistonAvatarGuy so if you are anti renewable energy and you are not arguing for the continued usage of ff how do you propose we power society?
1
@PistonAvatarGuy you do know nuclear power is the most expensive form of new energy generation correct? Why would you say follow France and build the most expensive form of new energy today???
1
@stormelemental13 Highview Power would disagree with your assessment of their facilities as non existent
