One more example of why we don't have Medicare for All. We have a government which puts the military industrial complex above the health and wellbeing of American citizens.

@jpmas124 it isn't 1960 modern submarines literally stay under water for 6 to 18 months at a time. Range isn't an issue

@jpmas124 you can argue for the arms race all you want but we spend more than the next 10 countries combined we could easly cut our military budget in half and not be attacked. Proven by the fact that other countries which spend far less have not been invaded.

@waltersociejr4763 100 years ago it was a valuable steam boat refueling spot not so important today. Just because you did someone for a long time doesn't make it a good idea. We spend two decades in the middle east oil wars. That wasn't a good idea either.
