  1. Raise the minimum wage to a living wage say $15 an hour. Then raise the standard deduction to the minimum wage x 40 hours a week so someone who is just earning a living doesn't pay any income tax. Then simply tax every dollar over the minimum wage with no loopholes at all. Stop using tax code to hide political favors.

Nicole ok I just used the same number that Sanders has used with the fight for 15 the general idea was more to the point that anyone who is just making a living wage shouldn't pay any taxes start taxing only on income over the minimum required to live. Then count all earnings as income and have zero exceptions beyond the minimum wage that every gets tax free.
