@wariswrong4920 except that the GOP tricked you into a more regressive tax system. They cut taxes for the wealthy elite and now the 400 most wealthy families in the USA pay lower taxes than the rest of us. We need to go back to the progressive tax structure post WWII which lead to the golden age of growth in the USA. We need to leave behind the GOP trickle down economics which has lead to the great recession and the worse income inequality in the history of this nation. We now have more income inequality than we had in the 1920. Incase your history isn't so good you might want to study what happened in the 1930s. Spoiler alert it was called the great depression because it wasn't the greatest ecominic growth in the history of this nation.

@wariswrong4920 either you don't have health insurance and risk bankruptcy when you have a serious illness or your employer is paying for your insurance in which case you do pay for health insurance every day you go to work because it is lowering your paycheck when your employer pays for it. So which is it do you choose to live one illness away from medical bankruptcy or do you pay for health insurance through lost pay for your labor? Every single study has shown that Medicare for All will save trillions of dollars while covering 100% of the population. Proven by the fact that other nations with single payer systems pay half per capita than we do for healthcare. If you are worried about saving money there is only one choice. Single payer is proven to be the least expensive system full stop.

@wariswrong4920 if you have health insurance as a benefit at work your employer definitely counts it as part of your pay. There is no trickle down involved in that statement. I didn't say giving the company a tax break would get employees more pay I said they count your health insurance as part of your pay. But I am done ghosting this 3 week old discussion have a nice life hope you don't get sick and end up one of the millions of Americans filing medical bankruptcy. I already know too many people in that boat.

@wariswrong4920 the VA sucks for reasons all it's own. Our government doesn't care about taking care of veterans only using them to funnel money to the military industrial complex the troops are disposable to the military it is disgusting how we treat them. But the VA is nothing like the Canadian system. I know people on both systems. Canada has private hospitals with government insurance. The VA is government hospital. Two very different things. The VA is an example of a poorly funded system based on the UK healthcare system which is also government run hospitals not government insurance. But the peoblem with the VA is that it only covers veterans. If the members of Congress and the wealthy elite where part of the system you would quickly see those wait times vanish. By the way you are wrong about Canada. Wait times are no worse in the Canadian system than they are in the USA today infact they are usually shorter. The biggest problem with wait times in the USA is people waiting to call the hospital because we know we can't afford to get treatment.

@wariswrong4920 oh and you are wrong Biden is no longer the front runner Warren is the front runner in national polls and Biden has admitted that he will lose the early primary states. Biden is history the only question is will Warren or Sanders win. Either way they will push for Medicare for All.

@wariswrong4920 you should definitely try the Trump veterans choice bill out before you declare how wonderful it is. I know several Mariners injured in the line of duty who where discharged with permanent disability status over 80% disabled who could tell you from first hand experience what that bill did and it wasn't helpful. But it is interesting that you believe only those who serve in the military manning that high tech weaponry deserve government healthcare for life. I would think it is just as important to attract skilled labor for the civilian engineers who designed it. But speaking as one of those civilian engineers who did do design work on the guidance systems for those very same weapons I can tell you once I parted ways with the company my health insurance was dropped. Guess you are ok with only taking care of the people who use the weapons you won't want to insure the weapons are designed and built by the most talented people.

If you want to see how out of control our for profit medical system is price that same operation here in the USA. You can't even get a tooth pulled for $500 in the USA let alone a medical surgery. So again you proved why we need single payer.

@wariswrong4920 they tried to use it and where told they had to wait for shoulder surgery from the VA in a city which is about 3 hours away and has one of the worse VA hospitals in the country. It has been the poster child VA hospitals with flies in the operating room reported on several times. We have one of the leading surgeons for the operation they need right here in our local hospital not 10 minutes drive from his home and the surgeon tried to get approval through the choice bill and was told nope we have the ability to handle their case at the VA hospital. So he still waits for surgery. I know two vets both with almost identical stories both have injuries one shoulder one knee requiring surgery both told they have to go to the VA hospital because it is in theory able to handle them.

@wariswrong4920 you do realize that our current for profit healthcare system will cost this nation 50 trillion dollars over the next decade so infact Medicare for All will save us trillions of dollars correct? I would much rather see our country save 5 to 20 trillion dollars. But that is just me.

@wariswrong4920 please do tell what policy will provide health insurance for former civilian engineers who designed military equipment but don't have insurance from the company because it is no longer in business. I want to know what politican has the plan you support. Because the only plan I know I would qualify for is Medicare for All.

Warren to big money donors. Hold off and wait to bribe me after I get through the primary to make sure you get the best return on your investment. If you gave me money in the primary and I don't win how would I pay you back for the bribery? I guess that is the moral high ground of curruption.
