Kyle as a gen X I can tell you we are just as screwed. We started working bought our first home and lost it in the housing crash. I would say about 45 and under are all in the same boat and pushing for the same change.

The Sparkle Zone you do realize people in their 40s didn't benefit from things that happened 30 years ago right? I mean how much money did you earn at 10 years old? So saying booms in the last 30 years is bogus from the start. Second look at the real effects of the two booms you claim happened in the 90s if you had money to invest gen X get getting out of college with debt no money to invest there was a stock market boom. You know what we entered the work force to get oh sorry you don't get a pension plan we have a 401k plan that we might put money in to match your but probably not. When we could afford those the stock market crashed. We bought houses to see the housing market crash and if you think this recovery has been good for people in gen X your are clueless as to why it is bad for anyone. The younger you are the more hope you have of earning money for your retirement and bills in life. As you age you will see why that is important. Trust me both generations are in the same boat and need to work together to fix things.
