@peterroberts4415 wow what a poor argument that students should take personal responsibility to avoid being taken advantage of by the institutions that are designed to give them the skills they need to get by in our society. What a weak defense of the for profit education system

They need to do both

@holden6104 forgiving debt in 2008 would have saved homeowners. But moral hazard arguments where never applied to the banks that made those predatory loans in the first place. You are focusing on the wrong side of the problem. The problem is the person who issues many loans to the students not the individual students who take the loans. You don't understand who has the power in the situation when you focus on the debtor not the creditor.

@holden6104 which is why I commented before you that they need to do both

@peterroberts4415 the simple solution to that would be to make the college cost a fixed percentage of your post college income for x years the better the education works in the real world the better everyone is out of the deal

@connordavis2345 so public education k-12 has a blank check???? And here I thought they struggled to keep funding. Thanks for the laugh

@connordavis2345 you clearly are an expert tell me what university did you work in the accounting department of to know the true cost of running the school?
3
@connordavis2345 you seem to have missed the point that raising public education from k-12 to K-16 would keep the cost in line with the current public education system we have same as it did when my grandfather was the first generation to go from K-8 to k-12 in public schools

@connordavis2345 🤣🤣🤣 the bare minimum is what you think a for profit system asks for not the cost plus the maximum profit margin they believe the market will bare. That is the best one yet. You really do understand how capitalism works and how people like Jeff Bezos become the wealthiest people in our society. Thanks that was 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@peterroberts4415 so you think we don't need doctors or engineers or teachers that a 12th grade education is all our society needs. How sad

@bt2598 it would be the for profit universities who profited of the youth.

Funny how they didn't feel the same about the payroll protection loans being forgiven for businesses. I wonder how much CNN took in loans from the government in that program and got forgiven.
