  9. The problem is the party will look very anti democracy by hand picking the replacement. The only way to avoid that is for Biden to resign today and have Harris run as the sitting president. Otherwise what do we have a president who admits he isn't fit to hold office serving the remainder of his term while the VP who refused to do her duty to remove a unfit president runs as the next nominee? There is no good way to spin his not running after that debate but serving the rest of his term.
