  2. When companies get involved with politics they have to accept that choice has consequences. If you don't want to get cought in the political backlash don't put your company in the political spectrum to begin with.

It makes people feel better to vote with their wallets in a caplistist society where companies have used their political influence to alter our laws to benefit corporations over the citizens as well. I personally think any company which feels they want to get into politics needs to accept that there is a trade off. They need to ballance the benifits they will get in government handouts and policies with the blowback they will receive from the voters. You have the freedom to see it otherwise but if people want to burn their Nike gear and shop elsewhere for shoes or not eat Gova products that is peoples freedom in the USA. You don't hear anyone talking about other bean companies right now because they didn't get into politics. The other companies have for the moment accepted that a government of the people for the people by the people doesn't mean a government of the corporations for the corporations for the corporations. So long as you believe companies and the wealthy elite should be free to buy our government with no risk of blowback you support the corruption that we have today and you can fully expect they will continue to benefit from using their wealth and power against the general public.
