Set the maximum inheritance at the lifetime income of the avg citizen in the society. You don't need a gift higher than the avg person can earn in a lifetime.

@Bonanzaking your comments make little sense. If you where homeless why do you worry about people inheriting millions of dollars tax free??? It seems your fear of the inheritance tax is only protecting wealth your family like mine lacks in the first place.

Not when you allow it to be leveraged to buy real world things. The wealthy take loans against their stock holding as tax avoidance. It is called buy borrow and die tax avoidance

@sopheakko697 you must have tried really hard to miss understand what I said. First off it would apply to all races the same. Second if you tax the inheritance of the ultra wealthy today the majority of them being white you will lower the tax burden on the minority population who have less wealth today. So no you have it 100% backwards. Taxing the wealth of Elon Musk above what the avg American citizens can earn for each of his children will not lower the ability for black people to develop intergenerational wealth it will infact lower their taxes and increase their ability to save money

Sure tax all property equity. The wealthy own far more untaxed property in stocks than the working class owns in homes and vehicles.
