It isn't the 20 to 30% of the country which is his base you need to think about. It is the independents and the non voters who are turned off by weakness of the Democratic party to simply allow corporations and the gop to do whatever they want. By forcing the Senate to vote party over country you might embolden the 20% trumpeters but you will drive a wedge between the people who are independent and they will listen to Bernie Sanders knowing he has some actual strong people behind him willing to fight.

You impeach trump on his violation of the constitution and force the Senate to vote on the issue. Make them choose to vote party over country. Party over the constitution. Force them to publicly admit they don't value our constitution and form of government. Then you hammer every single one as a fascist during the election cycle as anti the constitution. It will drive independents away from the GOP. The Republicans use this type of tactic everytime they scream communist or socialist so force their voters to realize that they are really fascists.

@lemonaidebey6190 your argument is wrong on the facts Bill Clinton was a Democrat so if the Republicans had power after they impeached him then it helped them hold power.
