  3. To answer your question in short form. Yes we work sick and everyone gets sick. Longer answer is that people who are salary get paid sick time people who are hourly almost never do. Most companies will let them call in sick and not get paid. But the company also has the right to fire you for that. As to the doctor yes you can get a note from a doctor but it will result in unpaid sick leave if you have long and short term disability most workers don't a doctors note is needed to get those benefits to pay and it is a percentage of your pay I forgot how much but I want to say 60% ish.
