@oldfogey4679 people who fight for the voters drawing a hard line win more support. People who cave lose support. This is show by the tea party taking over the GOP. The way for Progressives to win more seats in 2022 is to hold the line and call out the centers putting the failure squarely on leadership's failure to get Manchin and the other right wing extremists in the Democratic party to support the centrist agenda of the Democratic party. This is a failure of the leadership of the Democratic party not the progressives they are doing what they where elected to do. It is Biden and the centrist who can't get the $15 minimum wage Joe Biden ran on. It is the centrist who failed to get the public option that Biden ran on. Those are the failures. So no progressives already compromised we asked for 6 trillion dollars to address the issues our society faces the compromise was 3 trillion dollars less than half what we waste on the military budget. Meaning the compromise was to say the climate crisis and and crumbling infrastructure is only half as important as our military. If the centrist fail to pass that compromise they will be the ones who failed to lead the party and who will pay the price.

@grimaffiliations3671 the Republicans always support the debt ceiling being raised in the end. It is just political theater for them to scream we can't afford good things only war.
