@michaelevans831 you are correct but it goes deeper. This is a political trap. Because everyone likes the idea of getting a check but no one likes the idea of someone else getting a check. Bernie is correct to say it doesn't matter why someone is in poverty we need to help everyone have real equality of opportunity. We need policies which reduce income inequality and help everyone regardless of their ethnicity or gender but simply based on our ecominic status. Bernie is working to join us all together as a single society. Reparations is designed to make it an us vs them issue not the wealthy elite vs the rest of society. This topic is simply a tool used by the wealthy elite to further inflame the race issues trying to keep us divided. I 100% support Bernie saying it is not him but us and that we all need to stand together to make sure we have a socal safety net which helps all Americans in need and we need to tax the wealthy to address income inequality. By definition I am sure there are parts of our society which will "benefit more" from that but in reality the less we focus on race and gender and the more we simply focus on equality of opportunity we all benefit from a better society.

Warren is strong when it comes to wallstreet reform but she is too much of an all of the above politician when it comes to other issues like foriegn policy or Medicare for for All for my liking. I would put Tulsi ahead of her but Bernie is far and away the best choice.
