If the Democrats allow the race to be run on the GOP terms of racism it is a muddy mess of a fight which will turn off voters and embolden the white supremacists to turn out in support of the GOP. If we stick to politics like Medicare for All which is popular with a majority of the population we will expand the electorate and win. Fighting climate change is also an issue which can expand the electorate renewable energy is very popular we need to focus on groups like Sunrise Movement which can bring in first time of disengaged people. Don't try to win over the too far gone just focus on boosting turnout.

If we give them an option worth voting for we can take back the government. Remember the smallest age demographic is the elderly population but yet 70% of the Senate is over 60 representing retired Americans. If we get the youth to vote we can flip that so the government actually matches the citizens and our values.

If sub prime morgans where not offered the value or houses wouldn't have continued to climb causing the crash. The problem with the current credit crisis is that businesses are taking out loans at low rates and using the money for stock buybacks which is just profiteering on the part of management and the share holders. But the business is left with the loan to payback and no additional value in the company to pay it back with. Unlike when Tesla takes loans to build new factories which will return value to the company in new capacity.

The more important thing to watch is how the federal reserve creates and distributes new money. 20 trillion dollars last year all created and pumped into the stock market increasing income inequality. That same new money would have paid a UBI or Medicare for All and decreased income inequality if the government wanted to use their ability to create money to help the working class not the wealthy.

Also we need to pass regulations to bury all power lines in high fire risk areas. All these lines that need to he turned off should be required to be underground within a reasonable timeline maybe 5 years.   32.  @radamson1  the only problem with the wind turbines is that the cheap energy companies didn't winterize them same problem with their gas generators that are frozen solid. The wind turbines in Antarctica are working just fine. Last time I checked Antarctica was colder than Texas. Is there a flour shortage? Because wind mills make flour not electricity. If you are too stupid to do your mantaince anything will fail. But clearing snow off a solar panel is way easier that thawing out frozen piles of coal.

One company offered to give me a company cell phone but they expected that if I took the cell phone I would be available for technical support anytime I wasn't in the office and would always take the calls of upper management. They got upset when I pointed out that my cell phone bill was a bad trade off for weekend and night tech support.
