  1. Calling it liquid wars misses the point. Oil has value because energy has value. Water isn't really a problem if we have enough low cost energy. 2/3 of the planet is covered with water we just need the cheap energy to purify and transport it. Renewable energy is rapidly becoming the cheapest source of energy. That is the dynamic that will change the future as we replace ff based energy with renewable wind and solar energy the ability to provide those forms of energy will be the driving force of how power is controlled in the future. Just as the control of ff resources driving the energy sector have shaped the last century.
