It was Bush who started the middle east oil wars not Obama. So for starters your revisionist history doesn't fly here. But for the record Trump didn't being these troops home he redeployed them to Iraq and sent 1800 more troops to SA to defend their oil fields. So don't try to say trump is ending the wars he has made it crystal clear that he is going to continue to use US Troops as human shields for the Middle East oil fields. If you want to end the oil wars vote for Bernie Sanders or Tulsi Gabbard both have legislation which would end the demand for oil switching us to 100% renewable energy and ending the oil wars.

@moirasimpson9944 I am pretty sure in 2003 Bush was president. That was also when he invaded Iraq overthrowing their government and tossing the middle east into 2 decades of war. That shit grenade along with the great recession both had major influence on what Obama was forced to do in order to clean up his mess.

Julieta Noble you say we don't need their oil which would actually be due to the fracking boom under Obama not trump by the way. But trump just said point blank that we control the oil fields and that he shipped 1800 more troops to protect the Oil Filed in SA so clearly he feels we need to risk our troops lives for their oil.

@AuntieWar but our involvement in the middle east can be directly tracted back to destabilizing the entire region with the Iraq war. It was the Iraq war which left the power vacuum allowing the terrorists to grow into a fighting force. The same terrorists who where trained by the United States under Reagon to fight the Russians in Afghanistan by the way so if you want to consider war crimes caused by US foreign policy you can add Reagon to the list. But non of that changes the fact that the only way to end the oil wars is to end the demand for oil. Then the middle east just becomes one more desert the developed world doesn't care about deserts there are plenty of deserts in the world where we don't fight wars.

But you have not proven where you got the idea i believe we should be in the middle east fighting oil wars. Because fracking is where our oil comes from so it was infact the fracking boom that causes the USA to become an exporter of energy. All trump did was make us more dependent on the middle east by saying he would take the oil from Syria and defend the oil fields in SA. But please do provide a link to the great energy independence trump is responsible for. Or do you mean giving away federal government lands to private sector companies so they could rape the land and rob the country of it's natural resources to export the fracked gas for profit?
